I submitted my first response to this project.

1/7/08

I submitted a 34 page single spaced document to the ODEQ for the initial 401 permit.

5/11/08

I submitted a response to the “Potential Cumulative Impacts with other Proposed, approved and existing Projects in the Willamette Basin” written by Oregon Water Resource Department.

9/30/08

Oregon Water Resource Department moves forward and issues “Revised Final Order on the Potential Cumulative Impacts with other Proposed, Approved, and Existing Projects in the Willamette Basin.” I have 30 days to file for a contested hearing..

10/30/08

I file for a hearing.

I receive some inspirational words from a professional..see ‘thank you’ video on the Contact/About page.

2/9/09

Prehearing via phone conference call with ALJ Teppoal and Symbiotics’ and OWRD’s representative legal counsels.

5/01/09

Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Teppola ruled against my position and supported Symbiotics and OWRD position. I have 30 days to file an exception to this ruling.

5/29/09

I file an exception to the ruling. (There were some other interesting things that happened along the way: I asked for permission to speak at a different hearing, (same issue), which is permitted by law. It was determined by the ALJ that I could not speak to the entire group of commissioners but only to the ALJ.

June/July

Lots of things happening: I’m distributing my data and our position regarding the ALJ’s ruling and all our information to support our case. I started creating a website to help inform citizens of Cottage Grove about the issues about this project.

7/30/09

Construction permit (401) is moved to Portland Office of the ODEQ.

8/11/09

Submit a response to the Department of State Lands.

8/28/09

“Currently the OWRD is considering exceptions filed to the ALJ’s proposed order and anticipates that it will issue an Amended Order on Motion for Summary Determination and Amended Proposed Order.” (note: This is a nice positive thing to have happen….)

9/02/09

Construction Permit (401) is transferred back to Eugene office. I’m told that the completion of the permit is now approximately 2 or 3 months out.
